The Gift: Freely Given

There is an overwhelming debt that we cannot repay, except through death. Our sins, when not met with repentance, overwrites the gift of God in our lives—salvation through Jesus Christ. To spare us from having to pay with our lives after physical death, Christ gave His life as a supernatural settlement.

There is a price to be paid for the sins we commit—consequences. Accepting the gift of God pays this price and settles the debt. By living unrepentant lifestyles, we reject God's gift, leading us to accumulate a large sum of debt that must eventually be addressed. How this is resolved is entirely up to you.

Will you accept the gift of God—the ultimate settlement? Or will you pay the price in a demeaning way—eternal damnation?

It’s not that your rejection of God's gift results in a curse over your life; rather, you are subjected to a curse until you are freed by accepting the gift of God. You are cursed by default, but through God’s grace and your faith, you can choose to be saved.

The consequence of sin is death. Our nature is initially sinful, as is the world we live in. Although we are not of this world, we are in it, which subjects us to the curses that plague it. However, the blood of Jesus frees us from the consequences of sin—death.

If a man’s gift can create opportunities for him here in the land of the living, how much more can the gift of God do for humanity? The gift of God makes room for abundant life.
