Increase in Discernment

Father,

I want to thank You simply for being who You are. Father, I come to You today asking for an increase in discernment. Help me to recognize what is of You and what is not. Guard me from the deceptive schemes of the enemy by giving me eyes to see, ears to hear, and wisdom to understand the things I was once blinded to before accepting Your Son, Jesus Christ, into my heart.

Help me to distinguish between the truth and the lie. Help me to be sensitive to Your warnings. And with such knowledge, give me the courage to turn my back on anything Your Holy Spirit urges me to walk away from.
