Overcoming Addiction
Father,
I ask for Your forgiveness. I’m sorry for falling short of Your glory, and I’m sorry for continuously falling prey to [Specify Addiction]. Please, Father, lead me down a more righteous path—one that aligns fully with Your will for my life. Lord, I know that in You there is freedom, and in You there is victory.
Father, I come to You today asking for deliverance from [Specify Addiction]. Today, I acknowledge that on my own I am weak, because my flesh is unwilling to yield to correction. But I also know that all things are possible through You, and that even this [Specify Addiction] is no match for the Almighty God of the universe.
Father, Your Word says that Your grace is sufficient, for Your power is made perfect in our weaknesses. So today, according to 2 Corinthians 12:9, I ask that Your power be made perfect in the midst of my weakness. I believe that when I am weak, then I am strong—because of Your grace.
Thank You, Father, for I believe that the miracle of my deliverance has already been set in motion.
I love You, and I pray all this by faith, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
