SEEN
God hears you.
God sees you.
You have not been forgotten, neglected, or ignored.
You are on His radar as we speak.
Recently, I experienced a few difficult days. To be honest, my faith was being tested. I found myself caught between giving up hope and remaining hopeful in the face of what felt like unmet expectations due to my misinterpretation of God’s words. Slowly but surely, hope began to drift away from me.
I started to wonder: Maybe God doesn’t care as much as I was led to believe? Perhaps my hope in Him was misplaced? Maybe goodness is not meant for me?
These thoughts swarmed my mind as I confronted disappointment. Yet, in the midst of it all, God made it clear to me that He is both physically and spiritually incapable of not seeing me, hearing me, or caring for me beyond human understanding. Even in my doubt, He reminded me that every word or thought ever expressed is recognized and worthy of His attention.
Let me share a dream I had:
As I drove, my feet were submerged in water on the gas and brake pedals. I continuously heard ambulance sirens, but I did not see any ambulance trucks. I looked around and even slowed down to avoid getting in the way of their pursuit. As I drove, I began to feel tired and started to drift. Then, in the blink of an eye, I found myself in my bedroom. On the floor, the water was up to my ankles. In that moment, I remembered John 4:14: "But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."
I dipped my hands in the water, then my face, and I drank from it. As I drank, my eyes were opened, and I saw a large stone wall with many words written in different sections. Jesus Christ stood beside the wall, pointing to each section. I noticed that each one He pointed to began to levitate. I realized that the words written in the different sections were prayers and words we spoke either to Him or in general. Specifically, I saw: “He sees me” and “Thank Him before you pray.”
Understanding that, despite the billions of people in the world, Jesus still took the time to recognize and acknowledge the words we express, I fell to my knees and began to cry out. As I pulled back from the vision, I noticed that the piles of clothes that had once cluttered my room were now folded neatly.
Then I awoke.
